Throughout his life, country music icon Kenny Rogers had five marriages and five children. After raising his elder children, he thought he was done having children, but as time went on, especially after he married his fifth wife, Wanda Miller, his viewpoint changed. In 2004, when Rogers was 65, they had twin boys, Jordan and Justin.

In 1958, Rogers became a father for the first time when his wife, Janice Gordon, gave birth to a daughter, Carole. He respected her stepfather’s role in her life and spent less time with her when his career took off. Later, he and his third wife, Margo Anderson, had a son, Kenny Jr. After their divorce, their friendship deteriorated, and Rogers frequently lamented the times he had missed.

Christopher, Rogers’ second son with actress Marianne Gordon, was born in 1981. He commended Gordon for her support and remained dedicated to being a present father even if their marriage ultimately terminated.

Being a father later in life provided him unexpected happiness. Rogers changed his attention from his career to his family and accepted raising twins in spite of his original reluctance. In order to make enduring experiences with his sons, he decided to stop touring in 2017 with The Gambler’s Last Deal tour, which included trips around Asia and Europe.

At the age of 81, Kenny Rogers died quietly in March 2020. In addition to his musical legacy, he left behind a heartwarming tale of maturation, introspection, and the enduring relationship of dad.Even though they knew they could outpace him, they still viewed fatherhood at his age as “bling.”
