My Mother-in-Law Blames Me for Cheating on Her Son, A DNA test proved her wrong, but it also revealed the most astonishing truth no one expected. === “You are a wh-” my mother-in-law, Georgia, stared with a sneer. But my husband, Hans, interrupted her before she could get the insult out. My mother-in-law never liked me much, and criticizing me was her favorite hobby, apparently. “Wait a minute, Hans’s blood is B+? How come I never knew this?” he asked, looking at both her son and his wife. She shook her head and blurted, “I knew it. I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!” “What did you know, Mom? What’s going on?” Hans asked, confused. He gave me a side-eye as if I had the answers, but I was just as stunned by her outburst. “That baby is not my grandson! Hans, listen to me. You’re not the father! Barbara is clearly cheating on you! Look at him! His nose is completely different, and his skin tone is not like our family!” Georgie continued, and I couldn’t keep my poker face anymore. “Excuse me?” I asked, offended. “Mother! That’s preposterous! You have to not right to make such an accusation. Barbara has never cheated on me, and I know that this baby is my son. 100%!” Hans defended me, but his mother was red-faced, and her histrionics were about to get worse. She began insulting me, but my husband interrupted her, asking her to apologize again. That was when my father-in-law got involved. She quieted and let her husband speak. “Hans, listen to your mother. She has a certain intuition for these things,” Manny suggested calmly. I just shook my head at the man. He and I have never had problems, mostly because he was quiet. But I knew for a fact that he was his wife’s enabler. I was not sure if he actually believed I cheated or if he was just playing along. “Dad! How can you say that? In our house? Right in front of my wife?” Hans questioned, and I recognized the pain in his voice. He wanted this moment to be special, but they had ruined it with these accusations. Manny raised her hands. “There’s a simple solution here. You can get a DNA test, and we’ll see the truth,” he continued, shaking his head as if it was the simplest option in the world. I still couldn’t believe it, but I was tongue-tied. “No!” “YOU WILL GET THAT TEST IMMEDIATELY!” his mother burst out after being quiet for only a few minutes, and I flinched at that. “That’s it. Get out of my house. If you don’t want to meet your grandson, that’s fine with me,” I told them and took my child to the nursery room. I heard some more yelling, but my husband eventually made them leave. When the baby fell asleep, I went to the living room, and we talked for a while. We agreed that we would go low contact with them until they apologized. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law convinced her side of the family that I had cheated and that the baby was not Hans’. We were getting messages from everyone. Some demanded we get a DNA test and others insulted me. People I hadn’t even met did this. I finally broke down. I couldn’t take it anymore. I also saw the pain in my husband’s eyes every time he heard a notification on my phone. “Let’s do it. Let’s get the DNA test and shut them all up once and for all,” I told him, and we did… (continue reading in the 1st comment)

A woman’s mother-in-law accused her of infidelity and declared her husband couldn’t father the child. A DNA test disproved her and provided the most surprising reality.

“You are a wh-” my mother-in-law, Georgia, sneered. Before she could insult, my husband Hans interrupted her.

“Mother! This is not how you address my wife. Apologize now!” After his mother’s chaos, he demanded.

Georgia and my father-in-law, Manny, came over to greet our baby for the first time since his hospital birth. They had only seen him in the delivery ward, but we urged our family to give us time to bond and adjust to this new, lovely reality as three of us.

But after a month, we welcomed guests. I was nervous about Georgia and Manny coming, even though they had behaved well at the hospital. It seems my mother-in-law liked criticizing me and never liked me.

Wait, Hans has B+ blood? Why did I not know? He asked, eyeing her son and his wife.

They came anyhow, mostly because others had posted photos of my baby on social media. The evening was expected to be spectacular, so Hans invited them.

I noticed anything weird when she entered. My kind invitation to spend time with Hans Jr. backfired when Georgia rejected.

She shook her head and shouted, “I knew. I knew! I knew! I knew!”

Mom, what did you know? What’s up?” Hans inquired perplexed. He side-eyeed me as if I knew the answers, but her explosion stunned me too.

My grandson is not that baby! Hans, hear me. You’re not dad! Barbara cheated on you! Look at him! He has a different nose and skin tone than our family!” Georgie kept talking, and I lost my poker face.

Excuse me? I asked, offended.

“Mother! That’s absurd! You must be wrong to accuse. I know this baby is my son because Barbara has never cheated on me. 100%!” Hans supported me, but his mother was red-faced and prepared to grow crazier.

My husband stopped her from insulting me and asked her to apologize again. Then my father-in-law intervened. Her spouse spoke while she remained silent.

Hans, obey your mommy. Manny mentioned calmly that she has an intuition. I shook my head at him. He was calm, so we never had problems. But I knew he enabled his wife. I wasn’t sure if he thought I cheated or was simply playing along.

“Dad! How to say it? In our house? In front of my wife? Hans asked, and I heard his agony. These charges spoiled this lovely moment.

Manny put up hands. “A simple solution exists. You can have a DNA test, and we’ll see the truth,” he said, shaking his head like it was the easiest option. It was unbelievable, but I was tongue-tied.

“No!”

“YOU WILL GET THAT TEST ASAP!” I flinched when his mother yelled after a few minutes of silence.

“Finished. Leave my house. If you don’t want to see your grandchild, that’s great,” I said, taking my child to the nursery.

After further ranting, my husband had them go. I chatted in the living room after the baby fell asleep. We agreed to keep communications low until they apologized.

Unfortunately, my mother-in-law convinced her family that I cheated and the kid wasn’t Hans’. We received messages from everyone. Some requested a DNA test and humiliated me. This was done by strangers.

Finally broke down. My patience ran out. At every phone notification, my husband’s eyes filled with pain. “Do it. I told him to get the DNA test and end it all, and we did.

Hans was clearly the father, but we had to have the in-laws over again to share the results.

“This is manipulable. You did what? Georgia scowled at me after telling her husband the results.

“I did nothing. Hans tested the infant alone. I was nowhere,” I sighed.

Yes, mom, the test you wanted. I’m dad. Will you stop now and enjoy your first grandchild? Though he attempted to hide it, I knew my spouse had suffered. Though I disliked her, I would be civil for him.

“Fine,” she answered, crossing her arms and not looking at her grandson in the living room crib we bought. Hans’s head sank as I patted his back.

After silently reviewing the results, Manny spoke up. Wait, Hans has B+ blood? Why did I not know? He asked, eyeing her son and his wife.

Hans shrugged. “No idea.”

“Maybe, you forgot about it or saw a medical result that added that information,” I said, but Manny was intent on his wife.

My mother-in-law was quiet again, but her smirk was gone. Flustered, she. It was subtle. But I knew.

“Why is our son B+, Georgia?” Asking her slowly. Hans and I peered confusedly.

“What’s happening? His parents ignored him when he inquired, “What does my blood type matter?”

Finally, Manny spoke, never leaving his wife’s face. “Because your mother and I are O+. Logic says you can’t be B+, but the DNA results suggest you are. I’m asking your mother. What does this mean, Georgia?

My mouth dropped so low I feared I pulled a muscle. I never envisioned this scenario in a million. I noticed Georgia, who was quietly watching her husband and nervously wetting her lips. She wrung her hands too. She glanced away, closed her eyes, and confessed.

Manny did not father Hans. She cheated on her husband with a family friend. Finally, everything made sense.

Is that why you accused me? You projected. You assumed I was as low as you,” I remarked, raising an eyebrow at her. My hubby touched my arm. My aggressive statement exacerbated the situation. But I was furious. I lost control.

Georgia started crying and acting out until Manny stood up and left. She followed him, and we allowed them. Who would wish to help with their various issues?

Are you okay? I hugged my spouse behind and requested.

“I guess. I don’t know how Dad and I will handle this, but at least we won’t have to worry about our son concerns,” he said calmly.

“It’s a lot to process.”

“Yes, but whatever. We’ll be alright, and you and our baby are all that important now,” Hans turned and hugged me. I rested my head on his chest and took it all in.

Question regarding my in-laws? They divorced, and the family learned why. It was catastrophic. To make matters worse, Georgia started seeing Hans’s biological father, her affair partner, and sought to introduce us. He knew he was Hans’s father after years of touch. Crazy, huh?

My husband stopped that instantly. After that, we discontinued communication with her. His dad was Manny. No one else. Despite enabling his hysteric wife for years, he was done with her and apologized for suggesting the DNA test. We were fine. At least temporarily.

Family events are unpredictable.
